The cold months of winter can be challenging without the warmth and protection of outerwear.
Every year during the holiday season, the Bethesda congregation collects hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for men, women, and children in need. The items are then donated to a nonprofit organization for distribution during the Christmas season. In 2022, all items were donated to the Salvation Army.
The congregation typically collects items the first three weeks of November, and many of the items can be purchased at local dollar stores.
Bethesda encourages everyone within or outside the community to donate items during the month of November. They can be deposited at the back of the church during the 9 a.m. church service or in the large brown receptacle behind the church. Kindly mark “Giving Tree” on the items.
